Ways to work with us

Every project starts with a conversation, not a checkout. Here are the most common starting points for a new website, and how everything else is scoped.

Website starting points

Indicative prices come from the same assumptions as our website cost guide and exclude domain, hosting and business email. They are not quotes.

Optional add-ons

Add any of these to a starting point. The cost guide shows what each adds.

  • Extra pages
  • Blog or news section
  • Bookings or appointments
  • More than one language
  • Customer accounts and login
  • Copywriting

Quoted separately

Scoped on their own after a discovery conversation, rather than bundled into a website.

After you enquire

  1. 1We read your brief. A person reads every enquiry. If something is unclear, we ask.
  2. 2A short call, if useful. We talk through goals, constraints and options. No sales script.
  3. 3A written proposal. Scope, timeline and price in writing, so you can compare and decide.

Common questions

Do I have to choose one of these starting points?

No. They describe typical projects so you can see what is usually involved. Tell us what you need and we will shape the scope around it, then confirm everything in a written proposal.

What is not included in the indicative prices?

Domain registration, hosting and business email (ongoing costs). Paid plugins, themes or software licences. Photography, video and illustration. Ongoing maintenance, support and marketing after launch. VAT, where applicable.

How do you price web apps, mobile apps and search work?

These vary too much for a fixed starting point. We begin with a short discovery conversation, then send a proposal with the scope, timeline and price for the first stage.

Not sure where you fit?

Describe what you are trying to achieve. We will suggest a sensible starting point, or tell you if we are not the right fit.
