What to include on an invoice
A clear invoice gets paid faster. Most professional invoices include:
- Your business details
- Your business name, and ideally your address, email or phone so the client knows who to pay.
- Client details
- The name of the person or company you are billing, and their billing address if they need it for their records.
- A unique invoice number
- Numbering each invoice makes it easy for you and your client to track payments and refer back to it.
- Issue and due dates
- The date you sent it and the date payment is due, so there is no confusion about when to pay.
- An itemised list
- Each product or service with its quantity, unit price and line total, so the client can see exactly what they are paying for.
- Tax and discounts
- Any discount and any VAT or sales tax shown separately, with the rate. If you are unsure which tax applies to you, check with an accountant.
- Payment instructions
- Your bank name, account name and account number, or other ways to pay.
- Payment terms
- For example “Payment due within 14 days”, and a thank-you note if you like.

Yes. It is completely free to use, with no account, sign-up or watermark.
How do I download my invoice as a PDF?
Choose Print / Save as PDF, then pick “Save as PDF” (or “Microsoft Print to PDF” on Windows) as the destination in your browser’s print dialog. The invoice is laid out for A4 paper.
Can I add my logo to the invoice?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG image up to 2 MB. It appears at the top of the invoice and is never uploaded anywhere.
Can I create an invoice in naira or another currency?
Yes. You can create invoices in Nigerian naira (₦), US dollars, British pounds, euros, Ghanaian cedis, Kenyan shillings, South African rand, Canadian dollars and UAE dirhams.
How are VAT and discounts calculated?
The discount is taken off the subtotal first, then tax is calculated on the discounted amount. You choose the tax name (for example VAT) and the rate. Amounts are rounded to two decimal places.
Is my invoice information stored or sent anywhere?
No. Everything you type, including your logo, stays in your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded or saved, so save a PDF before you close the page.
